Winter in the Umpqua Valley

Despite cooler temperatures and even some snow, there is still fresh produce to be had. Carrots, beets, kale, leeks, cabbage, turnips, radishes, squash, parsley, onions, potatoes and more can be found at the local Farmer’s Market and the new Big Lick farmstand out in Winston.

Perhaps try a fresh-baked loaf of bread courtesy of Lighthouse Center Bakery, dipped in some local olive oil and washed down with a delicious kombucha.
